Rob Howells – Arcswood CIC
“Arcswood was established in 2012 as a sister social enterprise to Green Links CIC, to enable the generation of income from commercial sources. As a not-for-profit company, working in the commercial sector enables us to attract finance from various sources, enabling us to invest in projects with community benefits. This includes providing job placements and work experience opportunities for young people and adults of all abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
Arcswood has attended several Sell2Wales events that have been of great assistance, and through the tendering process we have now secured a 3 year contract with Pembrokeshire Housing Association. This gives security to our employees and a firm base upon which to develop the company further.
I would recommend that any small to medium company takes full advantage of the free events and support provided by Sell2Wales. However, do not think that Sell2Wales will do it all for you, as you need to be proactive and ensure that you check the website daily for opportunities. Be careful not to miss something out on your profile, otherwise you might miss important notifications.”
